Would you like to find out more about coastal change in front of your property?

We have conducted coastal change mapping at local-scale providing information at 10 meter increments around the country. This allows us to provide detailed information on coastal erosion at the level on individual properties.

Historic coastal change is one of many important factors that inform understanding of future coastal risk, including information on sea level rise, storms, wave climate, sediment supply, vegetation changes, and a range of human factors.

This map is based on historical coastal positions interpreted from aerial photographs and satellite images. The map depicts rates of coastal change (erosion and accretion) at 10 m increments around most of the open coast. The rate of change is subject to errors associated with image quality, image processing, and interpretation of the coastline. The rate of change is an estimate only and subject to uncertainty.
